I am sure everyone knows about the online word-processing and sharing tool Writely and Google’s recent acquisition of the Writely company. The good news is that this will likely mean increased functionality and support for the services the Google has taken over. The bad news was that they had closed down the creation of new accounts temporarily.
Now after more than 6 months, today they have announced they have re-opened for registration. So, log in and sign up with your Gmail a
ccount to create your writely account. I have been using writley for a while, and I find it very useful. But, like all other Google services, this one also still in beta. Only twist is that, there is a poll in Writely asking for you to vote, on their beta status.
Next goggle’s targets may be an online spreadsheet or presentation tool so if you want to be the cool kid on the block, we recommend signing up for some of the likely suspects featured here on : NumSum and Thumbstacks. The Web-based spreadsheet tool iRows could also be a target. Writely
