Online Super Market

Want to compare prices from Yahoo!, eBay, Amazon, and Craigslist? Try MPire, a comparison shopping search engine.

Mpire is very Web 2.0-ey in feel, meaning there’s lots of shiny! bubbly! widgety! stuff. However, it’s got a nice social twist to it: you can create watchlists, vote in items you like (or don’t like), and make comments. And I haven’t seen a shopping search engine that includes Craigslist listings, that’s a nice feature.

The best thing about Mpire.com is definitely the search results - you can narrow your price range via a nifty slider, look at graphs, do some advanced settings, etc. Pretty sweet.

A big old bunch of Sony-made batteries in 4.1 million Dell and 1.8 million Apple laptops have been recalled due to safety concerns (i.e., they explode). Hope yours is not Sony made batteries.

The Digital Photography School weblog has a great post examining the pros and cons of shooting your digital photos in JPEG versus RAW format.

Whether you’re a professional or amateur photographer, chances are you’ve at least heard of RAW, and we’ve all heard of JPEG’s. If you’ve been trying to decide whether you should be shooting in the lossless RAW format or the much more simple, common JPEG, this article should help you understand which approach is best for you.

Since I know we’ve got a lot photographers reading, why don’t you let us know what format you use for most of your pictures (and why) in the comments, here in meyshan blog.
