Ultimate wordpress theme for WP 2.7 In making with love for wp 2.7

We at Spicy Express really gone nuts and deeply in love with Wordpress 2.7, which has amazing features. Now, We started making the Ultimate Wordpress theme to beautify it futher, You can take a sneak preview here http://wpsandbox.19hourit.com, the theme is getting ready.

The first thing you’ll notice about 2.7 is its new interface. From the top down, we’ve listened to your feedback and thought deeply about the design and the result is a WordPress that’s just plain faster. Nearly every task you do on your blog will take fewer clicks and be faster in 2.7 than it did in a previous version. (Download it now, or read on for more.)

Next you’ll begin to notice the new features subtly sprinkled through the new interface: the new dashboard that you can arrange with drag and drop to put the things most important to you on top, QuickPress, comment threading, paging, and the ability to reply to comments from your dashboard, the ability to install any plugin directly from WordPress.org with a single click, and sticky posts.

WordPress 2.7 is released and as it clocks thousands of downloads, there are some really useful features out there which make WP 2.7 the best release ever. As a long time of wordpress user, here are 3 best wordpress features which I loved most.

One Click Wordpress Upgrades

My biggest grudge was the cumbersome wordpress upgrades. Every time a new release was out, back up your database, run through the whole upgrade process and if something goes wrong, then run around for support.

I believe the best and most useful feature in WordPress 2.7 is the one click upgrades to the wordpress installation. If you run multiple wordpress blogs, this is the biggest time saver ever. Add to this the ability to install any plugin directly from WordPress.org with a single click, what more do you want.

This would save wordpress newbies a lot of hassle of repeated upgrades. Combine this with a one-click wordpress installation provided by Dreamhost (one of the reasons  why we love Dreamhost), you might never need to use FTP to install or upgrade wordpress ever.

Super Easy Comment Management

The ajaxy interface for comment management from the admin sure has made it easy to manage and quick edit comments and has increased my ability, ease  and motivation to reply to comments.

I can now interact more with my reader comments, by replying from the admin menu itself, which puts more life into the blog and comment moderation and edits are no longer a tedious chore, especially with keyboard shortcuts in place. Displayed on the reader side as comment threading, and comment paging - you have a magical commenting system in place.

Easy access Admin menu

All the admin functions are now neatly stacked away in an unobtusive sidebar. Expand to use just what you need in one click. The Screen options further enhance what most frequently used items you want to display on various screens and hides the rest away. Drag and Drop the dashboard items for easy access to what you use the most.

Dont wait. Upgrade to Wordpress 2.7 today. You can try the same WP 2.7 functionality on previous versions by plugins, but its best to try the real thing. In minutes you can have an all new wordpress experience.  What features did you like?

Plugins can be installed by installed by searching the Wordpress.org plugins database with a single click without leaving your site. How cool is that! You can upload plugins from your computer without unzipping them and Wordpress will install them. You can also upgrade your plugins with a single click. Speaking of single click upgrading, your upgrade to 2.7 could well be your last manual upgrade as 2.7 includes a feature that lets you upgrade your Wordpress install with a single click.

With Wordpress increasingly being used for everything, a useful new feature, Sticky Posts, allows you to keep a post at the top of your blog, even if you have more recent posts. In practice, this means if you’re running a competition or something like that, then you can keep attention directed at your big post.

The shiny new interface extends beyond the dashboad, and the focus is very much on moving everything around to suit you. The screen below shows how you can rearrange your post-writing page.
